Why Stephen Lynch Doesn't Want to Debate

While most of you were sleeping, Congressman Stephen Lynch debated challenger Mac D'Alessandro this morning on WBZ-TV. The debate lasted about 20 minutes and it took place at 8:30 a.m.

It's probably the way Congressman Lynch wanted it. Unfortunately for incumbents, when you debate on TV, you can't hide from the votes you've made, both good and bad.

In Congressman Lynch's case, his district includes many voters who supported the health care overhaul that was put into law earlier this year. And during the TV debate, he had to try to explain why he voted against the legislation.

Once the video is available online, I will do my best to point to it from here.

Editor's Note: I am supporting Mac D'Alessandro in his race to challenge Congressman Lynch in the democratic primary.
